Zhou Cang, military officer under Guan Yu's command of the Three Kingdoms period, was born in 175 AD and died in 219 AD. He is from West Qi in Pinglu. Zhou Cang is a righteous man and he has always been loyal and faithful to his master, for which he was greatly respected. From the Ming and Qing dynasties to the present, Zhou Cang, with a big sword of Guan Yu in his hand and a bearded face, was closely linked with Guan Yu. When people mentioned Guan Yu, they could not help thinking of Zhou Cang who followed him closely. Similarly, when it comes to Zhou Cang, you will think of Guan Yu. Therefore, in the Guan Di temples all over the country, beside the statue of Guan Yu, there must be a statue of Zhou Cang holding a Green Dragon Crescent Blade. On the theatrical stage, whenever Guan Yu appeared, Zhou Cang would follow him. In his short 44 military years, he created heroic events, such as "Delivering salt to save the people", "Legend in Woniu mountain ", "Solo run", "capture Pang De alive" and "loyalty in Mai city". He left us great legacy with his intelligence, strong skills in martial arts and brave fighting spirit. His birthday falls on March 24 of the lunar calendar, and on this day, a three-day temple fair is held to commemorate him. It is also a sacrificial activity. It is hoped that military officer Zhou Cang, who is known as the "Most Faithful Man Under Heaven", will protect his hometown and the people.
